Prescription refills may be requested during our regular office hours, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 4:30p.m. Please allow 48 to 72 hours for all prescription refills. Refills may require an office visit for continuation.

The fastest way to have your child's on-going medication refilled is to contact your pharmacy and ask them to fax the refill request to our office at 770-995-7018.

Medications requiring pre-authorization may require longer than 72 hours at this is dependent on your insurance response time. GPAM will do one prior-authorization, but if medication is denied after the first prior authorization is done, there will be a $25.00 fee for appeal.

You or your pharmacist may be able to check the price through GoodRx if your medication requires prior-authorization first, as often times the discount plan may be less than your standard copay with insurance.

You may call our office at 770-995-0823 and follow the prompts to the prescription refill line. You may also send a request via the patient portal.  If your child is on a maintanance medication, we ask that you monitor the amount you have on hand and plan ahead to have the prescription refilled or appointment scheduled before you run out. All patients on controlled medications will need a visit every 3 months per the FDA guidelines. Please plan accordingly as we will not be able to refill if behind on visits.

Please be advised that certain prescriptions can only be refilled by the original prescribing provider. To promote continuity of care, it is imperative that certain medicines are followed by the original providing prescriber, to ensure your child's ailment is improving. To that respect, it is our policy that refills of certain medicines precribed by doctors outside our practice will need to be made by the original prescribing physician.
