Dear GPAM Patients and Parents,

We know that this is a scary and uncertain time. We are so sorry we have had to cancel your child’s checkup. Due to guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics, we feel in an abundance of caution that it is the correct thing to do. If our child is up to date on vaccines, they are not at risk for postponing their checkup at this time. We have kept a list of all the cancelled checkups and when this crisis is past, we will contact you to schedule and you will have first choice of appointments. Please do not worry about sports forms or records for school registration. Most sports programs will likely be postponed, and the school system understands the current pandemic and will not keep your child from attending. When we can resume checkups, we will do all that is required even having weekend checkup sessions to be sure all of our patients are caught up.

Many of you have expressed concern that besides the regular checkup, you have questions about a chronic condition. We can help you by scheduling a telemedicine visit with your regular provider. Conditions such as acne, constipation, feeding problems or behavior issues are perfect for a telemedicine visit. If your child is not acutely ill but needs medication refills (such as allergy/asthma medications, ADHD medications, eczema medications etc) we are happy to schedule a telemedicine visit. Please send us a portal message to schedule.

Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We will get through this together and as always, the health and safety of our patients, parents and staff is our primary priority.
